Hey Gang, the next Tutorial for the Patchwork Medl

Hey Gang, the next Tutorial for the Patchwork Medley Blanket is going up TOMORROW!! - ( Which will be Sunday ) We will be working the MANDALA SQUARE and it will be a slow walk-through of the entire process. You will be able to crochet right along with me. It is a little longer video, because I worked it in real time, but I also have the chapters in place so you can skip through faster if you prefer.

I never get tired of these colours, they bring a smile to my face every time I work with them. 😁❤️ SO join me tomorrow and we will do the next square.

I will have the pattern up on my blog for this square and remember if you want the Full PDF for the blanket with diagrams and the works you can find that in my shop ( check link in bio )

I am beyond grateful for all the wonderful comments from you guys on the Patchwork Medley Blanket. I enjoyed making it so much and I am having fun creating the tutorials and sharing them will all of you as well. I am loving hearing how your creations are coming along.

I have had a few question on how I chose my colour sequences. Honestly I just randomly picked colours, I find it more relaxing this way to just pick up the next colour that feels right and add it in. Having said that I do keep my squares close by and try not to duplicate anything. I did do the last 2 rounds of half the squares in the blue and the other half in the beige, which you can see in this pic.

I alternated the squares as I joined them so the beige ( almond ) appears to give a little frame that pops around every second square. I joined with the blue, so that plays on the " negative space " and makes those squares appear to recede. So this play with contrast adds visual interest to the piece. A bit of Art theory there for ya!

Big Skye is the tutorial this week. It is a slight reworking of my Original Skye. These are all a part of the Patchwork Medley Blanket series. When we have completed all 7 squares 1 New and 6 reworked, you will be able to mix and match them to create as many blankets as your imagination can dream up!

This Series was inspired by all of you asking how to work my squares together to create blankets. I started with 2 and then thought why don’t I rework a bunch of them so you can pick and choose what you like best.

Once I have all 7 square tutorials finished, I will do a JAYGO tutorial to join them!
