Create A Daily Drawing Habit with Draw A Shape A Day

Are you ready to pick up that pencil and get inspired to draw everyday?  Would you like some help to get yourself moving on creating that daily drawing habit?  Well, I have a great way to inspire and encourage you.  Come draw along with me.  My Free Learn To Draw Flowers With Shapes will give you simple ideas and daily encouragement to finally get you going.

One Day at a Time

So what is this course all about.  Each day you will explore a new shape through my free online class. Each lesson has an accompanying worksheet to follow along and practice with.  The goal is to inspire you to pick up your pencil and inspire you to get drawing everyday.

One of the struggles in creating a new habit is trying to do too much too fast.

In our desire to succeed, we tend to overwhelm ourselves with too much info.  This more often than not results in throwing our hands in the air and giving up before we have even given it a chance.

Create A Drawing Habit

Slow and Steady Creates the Drawing Habit

There is a great deal of information out there on how to successfully create a habit.  The thing I find that most often works for me is to simply “do” a little every day.  My hope is that this course will give you the opportunity and encouragement to pick up your pencil everyday with a fun and simple exercise.

No overthinking, just simply the act of doing.

The pace of the course is easy with only one shape a day.  This will keep you drawing a little each day.  You only need to spend 5-10 minutes each day but will probably find you want to spend much more than that.

Create A Drawing Habit

And Before You Know It, You Are Drawing

What can you accomplish in 5-10 minutes each day?  Well, by the end of the 7 days, you will have 6 shape ideas in your repertoire and with these 6 simple shapes you will be able to create a nice variety of designs.

Draw A Shape A Day – 7 days to creating your drawing habit

As a result of your practicing a different shape each day, the ideas will start to flow.  You may even be starting to crave your sketchbook and pencil each day.  These simple and small steps done every day will get you started on your daily drawing habit.

What Works For You

And look at you, drawing!  After 7 days you will learn more about your drawing preferences.  You will develop a better understanding of your strengths and where your struggles lie.  Now you can build on these strengths and work on learning more techniques to help you with what you struggle with.

Everyone has their own unique way of expressing themselves,
this will come through in your drawing.

Do what works best for you. Your style will develop through steady practice and experimenting with different techniques.  Follow the ideas that pop for you and watch your drawing flourish.

Once you have worked through your 7 days of simple shapes, share with us how your drawing habit is going.
