The Summer Side Granny Hexagon Instructions
Foundation: With Col A, make a Magic Ring OR Ch 3, sl st in first ch, to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Cont with Col A, ch 2 ( counts as first hdc ) work 11 more hdc into ring, join rnd with a sl st to 2nd ch of beg ch-2. { 12 hdc }
Rnd 2: Cont with Col A, ch 2 ( counts as first hdc ), hdc in same ch st, 2 hdc in each st around, join rnd with a sl st to 2nd ch of beg ch-2, fasten off. { 24 sc}
Rnd 3: Join Col B with a sl st in any st from prev rnd, ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in each st around, join rnd with a sl st in first sc. { 24 sc }
Rnd 4: Cont with Col B, ch 3 ( counts as first hdc and ch 1 ), ( hdc in next st, ch 1 ) around, join rnd with a sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch-3, fasten off. { 24 hdc, 24 ch-1 sp }

This square will work with any size yarn and the appropriate hook size for that yarn. This pattern is written suggesting a worsted weight and a 5.00 mm and the finished size reflects this.
