hey gang Jane back today with another fun granny square tutorial today's square is inspired by my sand dollar

octagon in this tutorial I'm going to turn this piece from an eight-sided figure into a square I say this one is

inspired as I may have made a few subtle changes to the original octagon pattern

but nothing big so we get the same appearance as the Sand Dollar octagon this square has nine rounds with the

that we're working on today and I'm going to be using a 5 mm crochet hook you'll need a pair of scissors and a

darning needle I work my ends in as I go so I'll be showing you that as well I'll

sand dollar Square tutorial we'll start with our off-white yarn and our magic

ring lay your yarn across your palm hold it in place with your thumb wrap it

around two fingers Crossing it over underneath and holding it in place again

then over three fingers holding it in place with your baby finger under the first Loop over the

second and pull it through and underneath twist it on the hook reach over to this yarn over the third finger

hook it and pull it through for your first chain there's your magic ring our first round is going to be all double

crochets so we want we have a chain one already want to chain three so I need to
